Get WorkGear Updates & New Features: January 2025

Exciting News! Major Get WorkGear Update Tomorrow

Get ready for increased flexibility in managing your uniforms!

A significant enhancement to our Roles and Allocations features will be implemented tomorrow, Thursday morning (January 16th) at 9:00 AM NZDT.

What to Expect:

  • Brief System Maintenance: To ensure a smooth transition, Get WorkGear will be in brief maintenance mode for approximately one hour starting at 9:00 AM NZDT. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience this may cause.

Key Update:

  • Enhanced Role Flexibility: This update introduces the ability to use different allocation and reset types within a single role.
    • Previously, you could only set one allocation type per company (None, Quantity, or Price) and one reset type for all categories within a role.
    • Now, you’ll have the flexibility to set unique allocation and reset types for each category, allowing you to better accommodate the diverse needs of your clients.

This update will empower you to manage your uniform programs with greater precision and adapt to your clients’ evolving requirements.

We’re excited to bring you this valuable enhancement and continue to improve your Get WorkGear experience.

Disclaimer: The estimated maintenance time is an approximation. We will do our utmost to minimize any disruption to your workflow.

Your role categories will soon appear like this:

If you try to edit a role category that has already had orders submitted against it, you might see an alert message. This is a safety precaution to avoid any potential problems that could arise from modifying the role category after orders have been placed.

This update brings increased flexibility in how you manage your uniform programs. For example, you can now combine different allocation types within a single role. This means you can use quantity allocations for most categories while setting a price limit for items like footwear. This flexibility allows you to better tailor your uniform program to the specific needs of each client.

To help you get started with this powerful new feature, we recommend booking a short support call. Our team can guide you through the changes and answer any questions you may have.
